okay. daffodils or narcissus. the mythology originates from ovids’ metamorphoses, it comes from the tale of narcissus who rejected anyone that fell in love with him, he turned down the nymph echo, and as a punishment the goddess nemesis made him fall in love with his own reflection. he stared at it until he died, and a daffodil or narcissus bloomed in place of his body.

similarly, in other odes, it is suggested that apollo turned the tears of echo (once rejected by narcissus, echo faded away) into daffodils

they also are spoken about in relation to persephone. she allegedly tried to steal daffodils from the underworld.
